We provide weekly backups for all our accounts and you can restore your website, database and email content from those. However, you should not depend on these to keep your content safe, we recommend that you make your own backups. We make no guarantees on our backups and require a Kshs. 3,000 fee to restore the backups.
You are responsible for your backups and web content through your cPanel.
Our backups are provided as a courtesy and it is recommended that you make your own for extra protection. You can make backups through the cPanel interface. All backups created through the cPanel must be downloaded and stored offsite. All backups will automatically be removed from the server at the end of every month.
Backup Limits
All accounts are limited to 1 cPanel backup stored on the account. Manual backups can also be created and stored elsewhere. Accounts found to exceed the 200,000 inode limit will automatically be excluded from our backups.
Requesting restoration
To request for a restoration, simply email us on support @ peakanddale.com
What if my account was suspended?
If your account is suspended less than 1 week before we run backups, your account will still be backed up!
If you are suspended for more than a week when we run backups, your old backup will be erased and you will not be included in the new backups. Thus, we will have NO backups for your account. So, it is very important that you maintain your own backups.
How do i restore my own backup?
A partial backup (home directory backup) can be restored using cPanel. However, you will need to contact us to restore a full backup. Indicate the name of the file and where it can be found.
Please note that restoring a backup will overwrite any existing files.
